We are pleased to provide the following information about the Safety Award for Teachers course. Please note this is a Face-to-Face course with 100% attendance and active participation required.

The course will be held at: Blue Lagoon Centres, Unit 9.3 The Hyde, Bevendean, Brighton BN2 4JE.
There is free onsite parking available. Please be aware that the training room is located on an upper level and is accessed via a flight of stairs. Unfortunately, there is currently no step-free or disabled access available to this room or our swimming pools.

An STA Safety Award for Teachers E-Manual (delivered via email)

Please note these are the entry requirements for the course:
Be 14 years of age or older
Be able to swim 25m (learners who cannot swim 25m must be capable of wading and effecting a rescue in a pool with a depth no greater than chest height)
Be able to surface dive and receive an object from the deepest part of the pool

Throughout the course you will need:
Photographic ID (passport or driving licence – to be sent electronically prior to the course commencing)
Appropriate swimwear (including shorts and t-shirt that is to be worn in the pool)
Towel
Lunch (microwave and hot water available)
Water bottle
Electronic device (laptop, iPad, smart phone; this is to access your e-manual)
Pen and paper

Once payment has been received a health questionnaire will be sent to you via email from the STA. Please ensure this is completed promptly to officially confirm your place on the course.

We are pleased to provide the following information about the Baby and Preschool
Swimming Teaching course. Please note this is a Face-to-Face course with 100%
attendance and active participation required.
